Does a dog need to be sociable for agility? JustaLittleHusky September 11, 2012 Yes because there will be other dogs around with a lot of people dogagility411 September 11, 2012 If you plan on competing or being part of a group class it would be best that your dog is sociable because if he or she attacks another dog you’ll be kicked out. If you want to do it in your yard or have a private lesson, go for it! MsHuggableHippo September 12, 2012 I would love to teach one of my dogs agility. 🙂 animalsrockartist September 18, 2012 you should check your dog Association in your area , because where I live dogs do not have 2 be pure bread so I would check and see if they have any courses or you could build a course in your back yard.. I really want do to that as well so I,m going with my dog Aiming for Epic October 10, 2012 You should! It’s a really fun sport! Selenators stay forever October 24, 2012 I have been doing Agility for more than four years now, but I never saw only 6 poles in a competition Desidog02 February 7, 2013 I don’t know for for sure, but this to me looks like a demo for Purina Incredible Dog Team, but for maximum entertainment I’m pretty sure Purina demo dogs would weave 12 or more poles, so this maybe is dogs competing at a show sponsored by PIDT( because the logo for PIDT is on the side of the ring) and they are maybe not fully trained to weave 12. Oh and BTW I think the dog at 0:22 is weaving twelve poles 🙂 Hope you are having fun with your dog!
